C. Douglas (b.1951)
This Diploma holder in Painting from the Govt.College of Arts & Crafts,
Chennai(1976), is a quiet phenomenon. He has held many solo shows in Germany,
Netherlands and India. He has also participated in prominent group shows in India
including VII Triennale, Germany, France, Netherlands, London, Peru and Sweden.
He is the recipient of the National Award 1992, Bharat Bhavan Biennale award
1990, Govt. of India Cultural Fellowships (both junior and senior), Charles Wallace
Trust grant and UNESCO grant, both of these in 1994. His works are in the
collection of Glenbarra Art Museum Japan and NGMA New Delhi.
